As part of the OEDIPICAL SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS conducted by Andrea Cramarossa it will be developed in the rooms of Palazzo Morone – Vettor Pisani Archive of Caggiano (on) the EDIPUS workshop.
The insatiability of the bodies. (Second room) - Antonin Artaud | Hermann Nitsch condots to Andrea Cramarossa.
For over twenty years the artist has been involved in research in the field of sound and voice applied to singing and speech (on the relationship between sound and body, you are persona, music and character) experimentally theorizing an approach to dramatic art through the use and knowledge of sound.
The OEDIPUS process. The insatiability of the bodies it is part of a broader study and in-depth study of the myth that began some time ago and will last a total of eight years.
The first stage, or “room”, of the trial on Nitsch and Artaud developed in Naples in the rooms of the Nitsch Museum. The second room will see the light in Caggiano: the ten performers from all over Italy (Alessia Amoruso, Amber Amoruso, Chiara Bianchi, Emilia Brescia, Federico Gobbi, Mila Granozio, Fabio Guaricci, Antonio Pauletta, Maurizio Sarni, Joseph Stringaro) they will dedicate themselves from 28 August to give substance to the study proposed by Cramarossa.
The ritual moment shared with the public will be Sunday 31 August at 20.00 at Palazzo Morone at the conclusion of the entire process.
Cramarossa writes: “In the hypothesis of pre-disposition of a creative body, it is necessary to "empty", clear away thoughts, from memories, from pressures. From a perspective of performative creation (mixing of bodies, art and sound) here the performer's body becomes a place of myth, a place to unravel the narrative of an existence that is not only present but past and future at the same time. The space becomes that of Sophocles' Oedipus; the narrative is that of his family; from here, becomes possible and, Therefore, an opportunity, grasp the presence of a multi-sense and polyphonic body, In the end, multiforme, starting from a genealogy of bodies conceived by Artaud. Dissociate from your body, farsi, Meaning what, empty, it will become a paradox to be totally yourself, within a personal rhythmic impact and in a mystique of colors which is the primordial gesture of creation.”
The initiative is organized by Teatro delle Bambole and Fondazione Morra – Hermann Nitsch Museum in dialogue with the Municipality of Caggiano, Casa Morra and Palazzo Morone Archive – Vettor Pisani Archive as a contribution to the development of Giuseppe Morra's “Atlantis New Atlantis” thought.
