Oran is a city in northwestern Algeria: it is here that the young men's saber team triumphed last Sunday, fielded by the Italian national coach Dario Chiadò, who won the world bronze medal.
The Technical Commissioner revealed with great satisfaction that, despite having lined up new quartets - for both the female and male lineups - the talents at his disposal are many and their potential is still partially unexpressed.
The male quartet that took to the stage in Oran is composed, among others, by Michele Gallo of Salerno; his companions are Pietro Torre, Giacomo Minguzzi, Matteo Neri (Dario Cavaliere was also called up but had to withdraw due to a muscular problem after an excellent individual race).
The weapons manager Nicola Zanotti expressed confidence in the future of this team which has fully responded to expectations.
Michele Gallo also distinguished himself at the Paris games. The commitment to the national team has its foundations in everyday life and in the training that the Campania instructors offer to the athletes every day of the year: clearly the results reward the efforts and incentivize us to do more.
