Description:

The project has the general objective of improve AI literacy and digital skills among low-skilled adults, easing their transition to remote and hybrid work environments.

The New Reality of Work: Why Re-Al is Essential

The job market is rapidly evolving towards remote and hybrid models; Today, il 75% of employees in Europe prefer this flexibility.
Despite this request, millions of low-skilled adults risk exclusion due to a lack of digital skills and AI literacy. This project is fully aligned with the priorities of the European Union, in particular the “Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027”

Our Challenge: Making AI Accessible

The lack of basic digital skills hinders the employability and career progression of these adults.
AI is not just technology, but a new productivity tool. The project is motivated to address this gap to prevent adults from being cut off from these opportunities.

The focus is on the adaptation of VET (Professional education and training) to the new needs of the labor market.

The Objective “Re-Al”: Bridging the Gap

Main Objective: Improving AI literacy and digital skills among low-skilled adults, easing their transition to remote and hybrid work environments

How to do it:
• Equipping participants with essential AI and digital skills.
• Developing practical and easy-to-follow learning modules.
• Improving their preparation and work performance.

A Project in Line with the EU Agenda

  • Horizontal Priority (Principal): Address the digital transformation through developing digital readiness, of resilience and capacity

  • Additional VET Priorities:
    – Adapting Vocational Education and Training (VET) at needs of the labor market.
    – Address low proficiency in basic skills (digital skills).

The Partnership: Portugal, Estonia, Italia

Transnational cooperation essential for the exchange of good practices and for alignment with EU regulatory frameworks (EQUAL, DigComp, EQF).

• P1 – Leader: Didactic Hemisphere (Portugal):
Focus:
Management, Assessment, Training methodologies for adults.
Local Target Group: Long-term unemployed.

• P2: RRINOVA OÜ (Estonia) – The Technological Heart
Type: Institute/Research Centre, key to the development of Ed-Tech solutions.
Essential Role: Development of the Re-Al Platform (LMS) and training modules.
Strengths: Experience in developing curricula aligned to EQF and DigComp standards.
Local Target Group: Reintegration of women into the world of work.

P3: ADIM Srl (Italia) – The Experience of the Territory
Type: PMI and training body accredited in the Campania Region.
Essential Role: Leads the practical training program in Naples and creates the local evaluation mechanism.
Strengths: Beyond 20 years of experience in professional training and strong dissemination capacity thanks to its news agency.
Local Target Group: Migrants.

Specific Needs

Target group

  • Low-skilled adults: Need for basic knowledge of AI, digital literacy to excel in remote/hybrid workspaces.
  • VET Educator: Need for professional development on new teaching methods (Re-Al methodology).
  • Employers: Need for workers with essential digital and AI skills.

4 Forms and the Platform
Leader Activities: RRINOVA OÜ (P2) – Estonia.

Developed Content:
Modulo 1: Introduction to AI.
Modulo 2: AI for Productivity and Optimization.
Modulo 3: AI for Career Development and Employability.
Modulo 4: Advanced AI Applications for Digital Work.

Il LMS: Creation of an Online Platform (Re-Al) come Learning Management System (LMS).
Methodology: The contents are aligned with EQF levels 3-5 and EU standards (EQF, DigComp).

From Trainer to Student
Leader Activities: ADIM Srl (P3) – Italia.

Phase 1: Training of Trainers (Train-the-Trainer):

  • 3 training days in Italy.
  • Involvement of 8 VET educators on the Re-Al methodology.
  • VET educators gain the ability to effectively teach AI and digital skills.

Phase 2: Pilot Training for Adults:

  • Training for 30 low-skilled adults (10 per partner).
  • Blended learning format.
  • Europass digital credentials will be issued.

Beyond the 18 Months of the Project

Impact on Adults:

  • Increased employability in AI-enhanced labor markets.
  • Greater confidence in the use of digital tools.
  • Development of collaboration skills between AI and humans.


Sustainability (Follow-up plan):

  • Open Educational Resource (OER): The Re-Al Platform will remain active and free.
  • Curriculum integration: Partners will integrate Re-Al modules into their standard training programs.
  • Expansion: Collaborations with recruitment agencies and offers of corporate training packages on AI.

Organizational Structure and Monitoring

  • Management (P1): Using shared project management tools (MS Teams/Basecamp/Slack) and bimonthly virtual meetings. Transparent financial management (transfer 40%, 40%, 20% after approval of the final report).

  • Quality (P1): Success is measured through qualitative and quantitative indicators.

  • Evaluation Methods:

– Pre and post assessments to measure skill improvement.
– Tracking completion and certification rates.

Diffusion and Sustainability

Leader Activities: Didactic Hemisphere (P1).

  • Diffusion: Targeted strategy with website, social media, EU platforms (EPALE) and the organization of 3 Multiplier Events (60 participants each) and the Final Conference (minimum 40 participants).

  • Long-Term Legacy:

– The Re-Al Platform will remain active as an Open Educational Resource (OER) for lifelong learning.
– Partners will integrate the modules into their standard VET programmes.
– Scalability: New Erasmus+ funding will be sought and networking will continue.

Conclusions: Re-Al's Promise

The project offers a concrete and measurable solution for digital inclusion, ensuring that low-skilled adults can access remote/hybrid work opportunities.
