The Third Sector occupies an increasingly important space in the social and economic life of the country. Associations, voluntary organizations, social enterprises, cooperative, foundations, Philanthropic bodies and associative networks respond to the needs of communities every day, promote participation and build opportunities for people and territories. However, this growing relevance corresponds to a complex discipline, which requires legal knowledge, tax, organizational, financial and communicative.
The new AdIM series was born from this awareness “The Third Sector for the common good”, an editorial project divided into eight autonomous but connected volumes. The series develops and updates the experience of the general guide of the same name published in 2020 by Luciano Mattina and Rosanna Gorga.
The original guide had a specific goal: bring order to the numerous information on the Third Sector and make it understandable even to those who do not have a strictly legal or economic background. The new series retains the same informative and concrete approach, but chooses to dedicate a specific space to each major theme. In this way the reader will be able to progressively delve deeper into the different aspects of the life of an institution and also use each volume as an independent consultation tool.. This is not a collection of theoretical essays intended exclusively for specialists. The project aims to accompany the reader in understanding the rules and above all in their application: from the choice of the organizational form to the obligations, from financing to planning, from management to transparency and communication of results. The series is aimed at presidents, members of the management, soci, volunteers and administrative managers of small and medium-sized organizations. It is also designed for those who wish to set up a new organization and for professionals who support the Third Sector: accountants, consultants, designers, communicators, fundraiser, social workers and public administrators.
The common thread is the one that already inspired the guide of 2020: putting skills at the service of the common good. The standard, tools and procedures are not just obligations. If understood and used correctly, can strengthen the credibility of the organization, consolidate the relationship with citizens and institutions, attract resources and make the impact produced visible.
The journey will start with “Knowing the Third Sector: identity, principles and classification of entities", the first volume of the series. Information on the release and presale will be published soon on this site and on the AdIM social channels.
