Europe is us: ADIM at the Europa Project Week to build the future of the territories

There is a Europe that cannot only be read in treaties or on the news, but which can be experienced first-hand every day in our cities. It is a Europe made of ideas, innovation and cooperation. And this is precisely the atmosphere that the team My name he breathed during the’Europa Project Week at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

A heartfelt and strategic participation, which saw our delegates actively interact within the’Area Networking, one of the most dynamic spaces of the entire expo-forum.

What is Europa Project Week?

L’Europa Project Week it is the first major Italian festival entirely dedicated to storytelling, to the design and impact of European Union programmes. The main objective of the event is ambitious but crucial: shorten the distances between institutions and citizens, translating community funding into real benefits, visible and understandable for local communities, businesses and young people. Not a simple fair for professionals, but a real one “contamination platform” where skills come together to generate social and cultural value.

The most important focuses and panels of the event

The beating heart of the three days in Florence was the rich program of conferences and talks, with beyond 90 experiences told in the panels. Among the most significant common threads that emerged during the forum stand out:

  • Communicating Europe on the territory: An essential focus for AdIM's action. We discussed how to overcome the technicalities of European bureaucracy to report in a transparent way, accessible and modern the results of public planning.
  • The Europe of Territories (Innovation and Sustainability): Sessions dedicated to good practices born from the synergy between local administrations, universities and research institutions to face green and digital challenges.
  • Skills and New Partnerships: Panels focused on the meeting between the demand for skills of Euro-planners and the strategic development needs of national and international stakeholders.

Why it was so important for AdIM to be here

For us, Europe is not an abstract concept but a daily opportunity for growth. Be present at’Europa Project Week – and doing so by bringing our skills within the Networking Area – means consolidating relationships with strategic partners and, above all, bringing fresh ideas back to our territories, new financing tools and cutting-edge design methodologies. We look to the future with renewed certainty: Cooperating at a European level is the only way to innovate at a local level.
