Foundation with the South 2 millions of euros supports the valorisation of assets confiscated from the mafias

GOALS

The Con il Sud Foundation promotes, starting from 2025 and for the entire three-year period 2025 -2027, a new method of support for interventions for the valorisation of assets confiscated from the mafias inBasilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily.

This is a Regulation for accessing one“on request” delivery method, aimed at Third Sector organizations that for the first time decide to undertake a path of online civil commitment, valorising confiscated assets that have not already been financed by the Foundation through social initiatives, cultural and economic sustainability over time, capable of promoting the development and re-appropriation of the asset by the community of reference.

Fundable actions

Ideas that are allowed:

  • They involve the valorisation of a confiscated asset:
    – assigned by no more than 3 years (from the date of submission of the proposal);
    – which has not been the subject of other funding by the Foundation;
    – in the full and legitimate availability of the responsible party for a residual period of at least 10 years starting from the date of submission of the proposal (Proposals whose concession documents provide for a duration exceeding 10 years)
  • They are not primarily aimed at study activities, research, training and provision of scholarships, to the creation of individual events and demonstrations.
  • They demonstrate consistency with the objectives of the tender, with particular reference to the valorization of the confiscated property object of the intervention, through the development of social entrepreneurship and social inclusion activities, also promoting the full usability of the property by the local community, in order to develop a sense of community re-appropriation.

Theterm total of the projects must be between i 36 and i 48 months.

Eligible bodies

The Proposer must possess the following requirements:

  • be established in the form of an ETS and registered with the RUNTS;
  • having been established before January 1st 2024;
  • never having received a contribution from the Foundation, as a responsible party, to be applied on the line dedicated to assets confiscated from the mafias;
  • have its registered office and/or operational headquarters in the Southern region(s). (Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily) where the confiscated property subject to intervention is located.

In addition to the Proposer, thepartnership foresee the participation of at least two other entities, of which one belongs to the Third Sector. They can be involved in the projects, Furthermore, the world of institutions, of the school, of the university, Private consortia and companies belonging to the local and national entrepreneurial fabric.

Financial allocation available

For this onesecond year, there are a total of available2 million euros.

Extent of the contribution

The contribution cannot be greater than400.000 euro and it is necessary to provide a monetary co-financing amount equal to at least 20% of the total cost of the project.

Methods and procedures for presentation

The selection process is divided into two phases:

  1. the first phase is aimed at presenting a project idea and verifying the results
    main eligibility requirements;
  2. in case of access, the second phase is dedicated to the development of the project idea: the partnership, with the support of the Foundation, is called upon to draw up an executive project including a detailed plan of activities and costs, of result and impact indicators and a sustainability plan.
