Today, Friday 24 April, the host communities of Italy, Spain and Croatia come together in a virtual session as part of the European project BAG – Bringing Skills and Knowledge to Sustainable Tourism, funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The online meeting, scheduled from 14:00 at 16:00 CET, represents a moment of transnational dialogue and comparison dedicated to the promotion of more responsible tourism practices, inclusive and attentive to environmental sustainability.
Virtual mobility is conceived as a space for participatory exchange, in which representatives of the three partner communities are called to share experiences, approaches and reflections developed in their respective local contexts. Without requiring specific preparation, the session invites participants to bring their own professional experiences, briefly describing the role of your organization, the sustainable tourism initiatives already launched and a concrete example of good practice. The goal is to encourage mutual learning, identifying both common elements and territorial peculiarities, as well as the challenges that host communities share on the path towards more resilient tourism.
The BAG project aims to build a European tourism ecosystem capable of integrating innovation, inclusion and respect for the environment, and this session represents a first operational step to activate a knowledge network between peers. The chosen format - a guided but open conversation - favors active listening and the value of direct experience, recognizing that the most effective solutions often arise from discussions between those who work in the field.
Today's appointment therefore aims to be an authentic opportunity to start a collaborative path that continues in the next phases of the project. The results of this exchange will feed into BAG's future activities, helping to define shared tools and approaches to support local communities in the transition towards more sustainable tourism models.
