Emilia-Romagna Region and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A. (CDP) have signed aagreement aimed at activating renovation and/or modernization of the tourist facilities from Piacenza to Rimini for a total of 150 million euros.
The agreement establishes theRegional Fund "Eureca Tourism", The platform created to facilitate the provision of financing to companies of the sector through the granting of guarantees by the confidi system, thanks toA "counter-garanzia" by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
The operating model is based on combined use (blending) Of regional resources and CDP resources, With the aim of supporting the economy of the territory by promoting access to credit of companies operating in the tourism sector of the Region.
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, with this operation, aims to generate apositive impact in social and environmental terms as well as on the economy of the sector, that counts well 150.000 rooms in 4.300 hotel and similar structures, in coherence with the orientation to sustainable development that the group has chosen with its new industrial plan.
The initiative is part of thecollaboration successfully started between the Emilia-Romagna Region and CDP in 2018, with the launch of aFirst initiative to support the manufacturing industry, which allowedactivate beyond 90 million euros of investments, thanks to the improvement of 346 projects.
