Music meets history in one of the most evocative and prestigious places of Campania's cultural heritage. Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September 2026, at 21.00, the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula, in the province of Salerno, will be the setting for two special events as part of the initiative “Le Regge – Music meets History”.
An opportunity to experience the monumental spaces of the Certosa through different artistic languages, in a dialogue between music, theater, narration and memory of places. For two evenings, one of the most extraordinary monumental complexes in Campania will thus become a living space, capable of welcoming artists and the public in an experience that intertwines entertainment and valorization of cultural heritage.
To open the program, Friday 19 September at hours 21.00, they will be Javier Girotto & Aires Tango, protagonists of a musical journey that crosses the sounds of Argentine tango, opening them to the freedom and contamination of jazz improvisation.
On stage Javier Girotto, together with Alessandro Quiz, Marco Siniscalco and Michele Rabbia, will give rise to a match between rhythm, melody and musical research, in which the roots of the Argentine tradition dialogue with the sensitivity and language of contemporary jazz. A particularly evocative proposal within the spaces of the Certosa, where music will be able to directly deal with the history and atmosphere of the monumental complex.
The second evening, Saturday 20 September at hours 21.00, it will instead be dedicated to the word, to the story and emotions with Stefano Massini and his “Alphabet of emotions”.
With his direct style, ironic and engaging, Massini will accompany the audience in a reflection on one of the simplest questions, at the same time, more complex than human experience: what it really means to be happy?
A path built through words, stories and suggestions, accompanied by live music by Luca “Roccia” Baldini, to transform the evening into a shared experience between narration and musical dimension.
The two events therefore represent much more than a simple series of shows. “Le Regge – Music meets History” proposes a different way of crossing and learning about cultural heritage, letting them be the music, theater and storytelling lead the audience into the history of the places.
The Certosa di San Lorenzo thus becomes not only the setting for events, but an integral part of the experience: a space capable of connecting past and present and offering new opportunities for participation and discovery.
Two evenings, two artistic languages and one great scenario, for a journey in which music takes us into history.
The initiative is promoted and financed by the Campania Region through Scabec – Società Beni Culturali Campana, con Cohesion Funds Italy 21–27, as part of the actions dedicated to the valorisation of the UNESCO heritage e journey.
The appointment is therefore for 19 e 20 September 2026, at 21.00, at the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula (on).
An opportunity to meet great protagonists of the music and theater scene and, at the same time, rediscover through art one of the symbolic places of Campania's cultural heritage.
