The scene takes place in Capri, in the province of Naples, in the sixties. Mr. Lorosso is a line of Pompeii who is carrying out a search for objects that can still be used in a landfill: It is an interesting place because at the time the island was a destination for international stars, Divi del Cinema, Culture characters; The villas were frequented by many international celebrities - attracted by the breathtaking scenarios and artistic ferment - therefore the landfills were full of objects in good condition; In addition, the cost of maritime transport to reach the island was not as thwart as the current rate. In his fruitful research Mr. Lorosso finds - among other things - a painting covered with rubble: that particular face affects his attention, He does not mind the signature "Picasso" because he supposes it is false; The image is modern, he likes, He decides to give it to his wife: It will be the picture of the stay, witness of Sundays and Sunday lunches. She appreciates the gift but - to disconnect the rubble - it is forced to vigorously rub the canvas on the floor with a broom, water and soap; Not even she assumes that that signature in plain sight can be authentic. Time later, his son Andrea, receives an encyclopedia from the aunt as a gift for the birthday: gift welcome by the boy and his brothers who use it to study and to satisfy innate curiosity. Examining the photos of the paintings of Picasso, Andrea Lorosso makes comparisons with the picture he has at home; In particular, among the illustrations of the encyclopedia there is an almost identical one to the picture of his home: From there the dream begins.

After sixty years, When the lucky line has disappeared - without the certainty that the intuitions of his son were corrected - the confirmation comes: The picture is authentic and its value oscillates between six and twelve million euros. The discriminant depends on the possible subsequent recognition also by the Picasso Foundation, chaired by the children of the pictorial genius of Malaga.

The investigations carried out so far have been long and complex: The canvas was delicately removed from the wooden support, photographed in detail eyes and lips, examined in its reflections with respect to light in every painted anatomical part, I took into consideration the margins of refodergero and the traits,  X -ray exams carried out, infrared reflectography, ultraviolet fluorescence, infrared with false colors; All "to determine their executive techniques and evaluate their state of conservation"; The forensic graphologist Cinzia Alteri took a long time to evaluate graphism and confirmed the authenticity of the signature.

The identity of the portrayed woman is also known: è dora but, Musa inspiring and lover of Picasso, of which he painted various canvases, Hence the illustration on the notorious encyclopedia from which Andrea Lorosso as a boy drew the right intuitions. Today Andrea, It announces that the work is currently kept in a caveau in Milan and - agrees with the other children of the lucky line - when the definitive value of the canvas will be determined, will fulfill the promise made to the father, or to sell the picture to the auction: It was his desire for the well -being of his descendant, A real dream if the authenticity of his discovery in that Caprese landfill had been ascertained.
