The Presidencya of the Council of Ministers with an endowment of € 300 million finances investments aimed at improving traffic, of infrastructure, to the development of public services and the increase in their quality.
The ZES Notice aims to support economic development, territorial competitiveness and the attraction of investments in the South, financing interventions to improve traffic, infrastructure and public services. Con 300 million euros FSC 2021-2027, the measure creates favorable contexts for the establishment of new businesses, strengthening cohesion and sustainable growth in the South, in line with the Single ZES Strategic Plan. The application can be submitted electronically.
Territory of intervention: The territory of intervention of the ZES Notice is limited to the seven regions of Southern Italy: Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily
Direct recipients:
- Municipalities with a population greater than 5.000 inhabitants, equipped with PIP area (Plan for Productive Settlements), pursuant to current legislation;
- Consortia for industrial development areas, referred to in art. 36, comma 4, of law no. 317/1991 (public economic bodies with functions of promotion and management of industrial areas)
Proposing subjects: The bodies entitled to present the project proposal are the same ones that, in case of a positive outcome of the evaluation, become beneficiaries of the contribution.
Additional requirements: Those who propose are also those who implement and benefit, without the possibility of delegating ownership of the project to other parties
Type of interventions: Interventions aimed at improving road traffic, infrastructure and the development of public services (with an increase in their quality), located exclusively in the territories where industrial areas are located, productive and artisanal
Eligible expenses:
- Infrastructure investments
- Expenses for external services
- Personnel costs
Ineligible expenses: expenses not eligible for financing are those that do not meet the relevance criteria, traceability and temporality defined in the Article 10 (es. costs not strictly connected to the intervention, design costs incurred before the publication of the Notice, expenses incurred before admission to financing, costs for sanctions, penalties or late payment interest etc).
Resources available: € 300.000.000
Contribution required: co-financing by the proposing entity is not mandatory, but it is rewarding for evaluation purposes.
